Internal Medicine

Internal medicine was developed to deal with rarer and more complex diseases that can affect several organs at the same time. The internist doctor diagnoses and treats patients, taking into account all the possible pathologies and the different organs that can be affected. In general, patients referred to internal medicine have systemic (or so-called systemic) diseases which means that they affect several organs. For an appointment, you must have a referral from a general practitioner or specialist.
